While only beginning to develop his writing skills, Jer was given the privilege of publishing his first song in 1989 on a major Christian label which fueled Jer's aspirations as a writer. In 1991 a second song was published and not until 2003 was a third and fourth song given attention, but such gave way to Jer's career in music collaborating with various artists around the nation. The year 2010 promises to be an exciting one as Jer will see the release of five different songs in main stream markets accredited to his own name.

 

Noted for his lyrical depth and catchy, yet risky, chord progressions Jer's music has been known to be inspiring, encouraging, heart wrenching, tear jerking, and joy giving. Jer has found satisfaction in bringing all of his experiences and abilities to the staff paper and writing with an open vein.

Jer began teaching himself how to play the guitar at the age of 12 by locking himself in the basement bathroom of his family's home. With a Mel Bay chord book, an old song book from church, and a lot of heart - a love for music and for playing the guitar was birthed. As time would pass, Jer began to realize that music held the power to inspire and encourage people in dramatic ways.
