Daddy just one thing before you leave
Did you and Mommy ever really want me
It's no big deal, you know I love you still
But with all of the fighting I heard from my room
My ears were plugged but I still heard the truth
Tell me, what you were thinking if you please

When my Bible tells me
That love's the greatest gift I'll ever know
This simple truth is found in Christ alone
And if love never fails
Tell me why are you so quick to turn and run
As if heaven's miracle was not enough
Where is love

Woke up this morning with tears in my eyes
The sun only helped to show darkened skies
And I can't erase the things I'll have to face
I will choose to remember the days that we played
But I worry for you Dad will you be okay
Tell me, how we will play again someday

Still my Bible tells me...

Love is patient, love is kind
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
But rejoices with the truth
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

(I Corinthians 13:4-8a)
