I remember years ago with a ring and black tuxedo
Said I do and that was all I knew, it’s true
So in love I took her hand we had our dreams and made our plans
Come what may forever and always
Haven’t always been the man I should have
And I regret that in every single way
But after winter comes the spring time
And the sunshine – the hope in a new day

(Chorus)
She is all that I dreamed for
Answered prayers and more
A gracious gift of God to me
Mine to have and hold, to cherish and adore
A precious gift of God to me

People ask me now and then, 'Would I marry her again?'
I just sigh and look at them and smile, I smile
Wonder why their questioning, but I think of how I’m undeserving
Still I laugh and shout “Without a Doubt!"
Haven’t always been the man I should have
And I regret that in every single way
But in the morning when the sun shines
Upon her eyes – I am ready for the day  (chorus)

(Bridge)
When the day is done and she lays her pretty head upon the pillow
Will she know my love is real? How will she know? Will She know?
I remember years ago with a ring and black tuxedo
Said I do and that was all I knew, but do I treat her like she’s (chorus)
